Our partnership with the Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK) is designed to enable us to attract, develop and retain talent from different ethnic backgrounds – talent that we really value.

Leonardo partners with Bright Horizons to provide benefits including access to five annual Back-Up Care days for working parents and carers, to cover breakdowns in childcare, and support with adult care or elder care.

Leonardo UK is a member of Business Disability Forum, which provides us with access to expert advice, support and events to help us ensure disabled employees and customers are included in everything we do.

Leonardo is a proud member of Employers for Carers, Carers UK's business forum, supporting employers to develop a carer-friendly workplace that recognises, respects and values employees juggling work and unpaid care.

Leonardo has been accredited as a Disability Confident Employer, recognising our commitment to bringing skills and talent that people with a disability possess to our workplace.

Leonardo’s Newcastle site has been awarded an ‘Advanced Good Work Pledge’ by the North of Tyne Good Work Pledge awarding body, due to the quality of the working practices in place at their site.

Into Work

Leonardo is delighted to partner with Into Work, which provides personalised employment advice and practical support for disabled people and people with any long-term health condition who live in Edinburgh or Midlothian. The charity is also using its knowledge, skills and values to help Leonardo build effective teams with diverse qualities.

Leonardo UK is a signatory of the Mental Health at Work Commitment, as part of the company demonstrating its ambition to develop a workplace environment and culture where all employees can thrive.

Pride in Defence

Leonardo is a member of Pride in Defence which aims to connect all the LGBTQ+ networks / employee resource groups within the UK defence sector organisations, and promote inclusion and diversity across the industry. Members are encouraged to collaborate, share best practice and organise pan-defence activities for LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies.

Leonardo is honoured to sponsor the 'Finding It Tough?' campaign of the Royal Air Forces (RAF) Association, which offers free training, through three tailored online mental wellbeing courses aimed at supporting non-serving members of the RAF community – veterans, families, and the supporting community.

As part of Leonardo's commitment to providing career opportunities to veterans, we are signed up to the 15,000 Futures partnership from WithYouWithMe, to help place ex-military service personnel into meaningful digital jobs.

Leonardo is a member of Social Value UK (SVUK), which works with its members to change the way they account for social value, in order to create a world where organisational decisions improve wellbeing, equality and the environment.

This programme enables candidates to restart their career following a break. Leonardo recognises the skills and talent that these candidates offer and in return provides exciting roles coupled with excellent support on some of our cutting-edge programmes.
