Whether it be multi-spectral cameras and detectors that sense and track multi-domain objects, providing secure platform-to-platform communications, or creating high power laser systems to designate and damage threats, Leonardo continues to innovate right across the electro-optic spectrum.

We are investing in the latest quantum detector and clock technologies, novel semiconductors, modular laser designators and high power directed energy research and development, from early stage research, through prototyping to full scale development. In parallel, we support our UK supply chain partners to grow their own skills and capabilities, underpinning UK prosperity and operational freedom.
