The Sunday Times Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers 2025 celebrates the UK's outstanding apprenticeship employers – recognising their commitment to creating new apprenticeships, the diversity of their apprentices, and the number of apprentices who successfully complete their apprenticeships. The prestigious annual rankings are compiled by High Fliers Research for The Sunday Times.
The results for this year were launched on Thursday 10 July in a specially produced TV programme.
The UK armed forces all rank high on this year’s list with the British Army taking 1st place, the Royal Navy in 2nd and the Royal Air Force 5th.
The Top 100 list covers 20 sectors and includes health & social care, transport, travel & logistics, professional services and media. Leonardo is one of only five organisations from the Engineering & Industrial sector to make the top 100.
The Top 100 list shows Leonardo apprentices as comprising 5% of its UK 8,500 employees - aligning with the company’s status as a Gold member of the 5% Club, which focuses on creating momentum behind the recruitment of apprentices and graduates into the UK workforce.
Each year, Leonardo offers a range of engineering and business apprenticeships (including Degree/Graduate apprenticeships) throughout its Electronics, Helicopters and Cyber & Security businesses across all of its UK sites.
The company intake for 2026 roles begins this autumn.
