Senior Cyber Security Consultant

"The ever-changing nature of cyber threats will ensure cyber security remains a top priority across all industries, future-proofing my career opportunities."

Meet Adam

Adam is a 23-year veteran of the Royal Air Force where he specialised in logistics and learning development strategy and implementation.

After retiring from service in 2021, he secured a role as a Training Manager at Capita on the Defence Fire and Rescue Project.

Despite enjoying his new role, Adam was interested in pivoting his career from L&D to cyber security.

Adam’s story

When Capita partnered with WithYouWithMe in 2022, Adam received an email inviting him to sign up for Potential and complete his psychometric and aptitude testing.

After completing the testing, given his interest in cyber security, Adam decided to enter the cyber pathway which would ultimately take him five months to complete.

While in training, he attended a Job Accelerator event run by WithYouWithMe and their partner, Leonardo. After a successful interview, Adam was selected as a squad member, set to be deployed into Leonardo.

“The training experience was challenging at times but my desire to pivot to a career in cyber was the driver that helped me succeed,” says Adam.

A secure future in cyber security

Adam now works for Leonardo as a Senior Cyber Security Consultant. Given the constant expansion of the cyber and IT domain, he is excited to kick-start his new career and hopes to continue learning new skills and progressing through the ranks at Leonardo.

“The ever-changing nature of cyber threats will ensure cyber security remains a top priority across all industries, future-proofing my career opportunities and providing me with job security," he adds.
