The Managing Director’s Cup is presented to the individual who both professionally and personally has demonstrated an all-round enthusiasm and aptitude throughout their time on the scheme.
Presenting Amber Hart with her award, MD of Leonardo Helicopters Nigel Coleman said: “It was a privilege to present Amber with The Managing Director’s Cup. She consistently tackles every challenge with remarkable positivity and skill and she has set a new benchmark for what it means to be a truly dedicated and well-rounded member of our team.”
The celebration recognised the valuable contributions Leonardo's Yeovil trainees have made throughout their journey. As they transition into new roles within the organisation, the colleagues were congratulated for their achievements and encouraged to continue building on the strong foundations they’ve laid. The business looks forward to seeing how they will continue to grow and make an impact in the years ahead.
Also, as part of the evening of celebration, The Leonardo in Yeovil Charity and Social Committee announced they had raised a staggering £42,000 for Andys Man Club and Yeovil Freewheelers, an achievement for which saw the committee awarded ‘The Team Sword Award’ which is presented for the best collaborative team.
A group of emergency volunteer bikers operating out of Yeovil, Dorchester, Taunton, and Wincanton Hospitals, YFW Blood Bikes made over 2,653 out-of-hours deliveries last year alone. They transport blood, platelets, and other vital medical supplies, saving the NHS over £200,000.
Andys Man Club offers free peer-to-peer support groups across the UK. Their mission is to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health by creating a safe, judgment-free, and non-clinical environment where men can talk openly or simply listen.
Highlighting the money raised Nigel Colman said, “I am incredibly proud of our Yeovil trainees’ drive to raise funds for these two outstanding charities, Andys Man Club and YFW Blood Bikes. Over the course of their fundraising, it has been great to witness their growing awareness as socially responsible community members while developing their professional skills.”
