Longwave (8-9.4µm) detectors can give advantages for some applications such as imaging through atmospheric aberrations including smoke and turbulence.
Leonardo’s longwave detector products include 640 x 512/24µm and 640 x 512/16µm. Our HD LWIR detector 1280 x 1024/12µm in currently in development.
