Leonardo’s commitment to equal opportunities, and personal and professional development, involves us offering a range of education and development programmes, tailored to different groups of UK employees.
Springboard is our Women’s Development Programme for those wanting to enhance their own skills and abilities, and challenge power and equality, while building confidence, assertiveness and a positive image at work and at home. The international programme is open to Leonardo women from all backgrounds, ages and stages of their lives, and offers the time to reflect, share and most importantly, set achievable goals for now and the future.
Whether thinking about career development, improving life skills, or setting practical yet stretching goals, this programme provides the tools to inspire and empower women to change their lives. Some participants use Springboard to focus on results in their personal life, such as addressing difficult relationships, improving their health, dealing with stress and gaining a work/life balance. For others, the focus is on improving career development, and for some it is about consolidating their existing job at Leonardo but with a new sense of purpose and a more positive attitude.
How the Springboard programme is delivered
To encourage greater networking and sharing of experience, the Springboard programme is delivered to cohorts of 20-24 women of different grades and locations around the globe, by Leonardo’s own certificated trainers.
In total, there are eight half-day workshops online, with internal and external guest speakers supporting the programme. A network group is set up for participants to meet again 3-6 months after the final day of the course, to see how they are getting on, discuss any changes, and to keep the Springboard message alive.
This programme is delivered in conjunction with the Springboard Consultancy.
