In line with its Sustainability Plan, Leonardo invests in and promotes a range of initiatives that foster an inclusive culture and support gender equality, with the goal of achieving greater gender balance at all levels of the organisation.
Empower is Leonardo’s development programme for women and one of the company’s key initiatives supporting these objectives. It builds upon previous similar initiatives – which have supported more than 400 women across our global business – and is designed to help women unlock their potential and take an active role in shaping their personal and professional growth.

The programme provides practical tools for participants to develop:

It is also an opportunity to connect with other women from across the Leonardo Group, share experiences and learn in a supportive international environment.
How Empower is delivered
To encourage greater networking and sharing of experience, the Empower programme is delivered to cohorts of 20-25 women of different ages, roles, seniority, professional experience and locations around the globe. It is facilitated by trained in-house Leonardo coaches and includes contributions from guest speakers who share their experiences, insights and development advice.
Programme format
The programme runs over four months and includes eight half-day online workshops and one full-day online workshop.
