National Inclusion Week 2024

23 September 2024

As part of Leonardo’s commitment to making inclusion an everyday reality, we are marking National Inclusion Week (NIW) from 23-29 September 2024 with a range of activities across our UK sites to continue raising awareness of our Inclusion and Diversity programme.

The theme for National Inclusion Week 2024 is Impact Matters, focused on understanding, identifying and measuring impact on marginalised groups and taking actions that make for genuine, sustainable change that matters.

At Leonardo, we aim to recognise the contribution that every single employee has to offer, supported by the company's fantastic Network Groups and Inclusion Champions.

Employee events during the week include:

  • A webinar entitled: 'If you can see it, you can be it'
  • An event with Business Disability Forum focused on neurodivergence
  • A sustainability-focused session about 'Working Together to Create Change'
  • A webinar about 'The Journey to Good Mental Health' with an employee sharing their experiences

We will be posting content during National Inclusion Week. Follow us on social media for all our latest updates.

Leonardo and RAF embark on joint mentoring programme

Leonardo and the Royal Air Force (RAF) are driving greater inclusion in the defence sector, through a pioneering new mentoring programme. The Ascend programme will match mentors from Leonardo's Armed Forces Network with serving RAF Personnel belonging to the RAF Ethnic Minorities Network over six months, with mentees receiving tailored one-to-one mentoring to fit their individual needs and future aspirations.

Creating an inclusive and supportive environment through Network Groups

At Leonardo, our network groups are the place for like-minded people and their allies to come together, help shape engagement and lead associated educational initiatives with all our people to deliver an inclusive and consistent experience for everyone in the UK.
