The team’s primary role is to establish and deliver the CS&T UK Business Intelligence and Data Analytics strategy, supporting the CS&T UK objective of becoming a more data-driven organisation that enables senior management teams (and customers) to make more informed and intelligent decisions based on accurate, consistent and readily available (and accessible) information and data.
Key activities include:
- Operational Modelling – using simulation IT tools to forecast customer consumption rates, stock requirements (shortfall/ excess) in initial provisioning requirements, basing assumptions on source data supplied from other functions
- Business Intelligence/ Data Analytics – developing new IT tools and systems to better communicate and present data, providing reliability, consistency, transparency and ease of access in support of our activities
